SOME POINTS TO PONDER

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

THINGS I LEARNED FORM THE FOX (of the little prince)

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

Risk To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.

To reach out for another is to risk involvement.

To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.

To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.

To live is to risk dying.

To hope is to risk failure.

But risks must be taken.

Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

If you risk nothing and do nothing, you dull your spirit.

You may avoid suffering and sorrow, but you cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live.

Chained by your attitude, you are a slave.

You have forfeited your freedom.

Only if you risk are you free.

To often we underestimate the power of a touch,
a smile, a kind word, a listening ear,
an honest compliment,
or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential
to turn a life around.

—————-

A loving relationship
is one in which
the loved one is free to be himself —
to laugh with me,
but never at me;
to cry with me, but never because of me;
to love life, to love himself,
to love being loved.
Such a relationship is based upon freedom
and can never grow in a jealous heart.

—————-

Perfect love is rare indeed -
for to be a lover will require
that you continually have
the subtlety of the very wise,
the flexibility of the child,
the sensitivity of the artist,
the understanding of the philosopher,
the acceptance of the saint,
the tolerance of the scholar
and the fortitude of the certain.

—————-
Why do some people always see beautiful skies
and grass and lovely flowers
and incredible human beings,
while others are hard-pressed
to find anything
or any place that is beautiful?

burrying the past

Healing your Past

(1) Practise acceptance.

A story about this woman who went to Congo as a missionary, Helen Roseveare was brutally raped. Later she said, "I must ask myself the question, `Can I thank God for trusting me with this experience, even if He never tells me why?’" The secret of trust doesn’t lie in answers, it lies in acceptance!

It’s knowing that in the midst of whatever has happened, is happening or will happen, God is in control.

Either you fix your mind on that and determine to laugh again, or you whine your way through life complaining that you never got a fair deal.

(2) Bury the past or live with its ghosts.

Rehashing the same hurts is like watching the same movie over and over again, hoping for a different ending.

Learn from it and move on. You don’t drown by falling into the water, you drown by staying in it.

(3) Get out of the blame game.

Blame is a waste of time. When you blame yourself, you multiply your guilt, rivet yourself to the past and decrease your already low self esteem.

When you blame God, you cut yourself off from your single source of power, doubt replaces trust and you put down roots of bitterness that makes you cynical.

When you blame others, you enlarge the distance between them and you, losing the only option that works, forgiveness.

Can you still live in the past when what lies ahead of you is your future???

i love you.

I WON A DIAMOND ACCOLADE AWARD

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

I won a diamond accolade award

an award given to agents who score 100% in al calls

before i was awarded with this, i was already on my sixth month on this job. i would get only a handful of a hundred scores for my audits while most of the agents on the floor are harvesting hundreds everyday.

i wonder how they do it. wondering if i would also compete then probably i would not be happy because i have only one desire… it is to be on top of the other agents.

happiness for me is not the award that i am given with but the chance that i have done something new that i have not done before.

experiencing that i can do more with the time that i was given to improve my self, my performance, to be a better person or a better employee… this is hapionnes for me.

i remember my music class, they were wondering how they were able to compose such beautiful hymns which they were not aware they could do. they realy admired the way i taught composition in their class because its a success. but i let them on a secret of how they made their wonderful composition.

time…

i told them that everything is in them…they have not realised it yet but they are becomming beautiful everyday. until the time that we sat still… and pondered on how creative they are…

time…

given time to think of the beauty they have… they realise that they tend to be more and more creative.

time is essential. do not waste it in thinking of the wasted opportunities that you have missed. as the saying goes "never cry over a spilled milk".

do not waste your time staring at your self at the mirror and searching for faults… love yourself and tell yourself that i can do more and be more than what i am right now.

time…

you can never stop time from drawing you closer to the infinite and unknown.

cherish time and and you will be surprised of the things that you are already achiveving. rome was not built in a day.

step by step

brick by brick

time after time

pain after pain

but stand up because there is still time to be the best person that you can be.

that time is NOW…

Now is your time to shine, to love, to let go, to grow, to imagine, to cry, to be loved….

cherish every moment

so that in the end there would be no regrets that you were not able to be the best person your supposed to be.

everyday is your moment to shine.

you are loved

words are so confining

Tuesday, July 4th, 2006

you are what you say to your self.

you are what you see yourself

confined in a body, how do you see yourself?

2 inmates in a prison cell looked out from the window, one saw mud the other one saw the stars. who ever we are or where ever we are, it is important to have a possitive outlook in life. how do i see myself is how i also see you… potential.

potentiality is seeing with the eyes of faith. seeing the unseen.believing the impossible,giving room or space to become more beautiful each day.

you are so beautiful,whenever i would look at you, i see nothing but beauty, when i look at myself in the mirror i see beauty and potentiality.

look at yourself right now in the mirror, you are not what others call you or the brand that you gave yourself. you are more than that.

bloom where you are planted.

look at the stars

fly with eagles wings

yuo are so beautiful.

POTENTIALITY

the only word the would not confine.

1+1= infinite

i’m not that good in math nor in equations. i’m not good into counting things , huh! counting the infinite, setting limitations to everything. i’m not that type of person. like when i count the numbers on my fingers it would sum up to 20. is that universal??? what about those people born with no hands or an excess finger. are we becoming germans who in their desire to dominate the world during WWII set standards in everything that every people should be german…blonde, pointed nose, wide forehead, bulky, uncircunmcised???

there is no point in setting standards in everything, idealy, each person could not be measured by what you percieve of him. can you measure his imagination, his breath or his lenght in years or after he dies, his influence to eternity???

everything is in eternity, no one can be forgotten, no good deed that touched the heart of a single person will not influence eternity.

science may have answers for everything, magic might create illusion to alter reality, math can set standards in measurement, but love… how do you measure it??? love is eternal… as God is.

love is the essence of everything… if you love you will not be setting expectations that everything should be in black or white. everything should not be broken down into pieces like what a prism does with a single ray of light. accept it as it is and love it… you will be surprise of the magic and the science and even the product of loving without limit.

a flower is a flower is a flower… oh what a lovely flower.

my wife is my wife…she is so lovely.

my life is my life… i love it

you are who you are.. and i love you

i am me… you are you

aren’t you tired of proving to your self that you could be somebody else??? or someone is wiser or more beautiful that you???

stop that please.

love and be loved… love yourself as how you also love others. no more room for superficiality… there is only room for love.

love + love = infinite

you are infinite  (-_;)

and i love you
